About the agendaThe agenda is comprised of plenaries, breakout sessions, and design labs. The plenaries are attended by all participants and are keynoted by leading experts in the 2Gen field. The breakout sessions are interactive exchanges with an emphasis on tools and lessons from two-generation organizations. Building on decades of research and innovation, the 2Gen field has emerged in the last five years as a movement with staying power. And the Ascend Network is a growing, vital part of it. This interactive plenary will explore the intergenerational focus, commitment to cross-discipline and cross-sector solutions, and racial equity and gender lenses that are at the heart of 2Gen. Listen to Ascend Network Partners highlight how 2Gen approaches have gained traction and momentum across the country – and where this movement should go next.

Celebrate the impact of their work while looking ahead at both network and demographic next steps: how can you engage more deeply in the 2Gen field, and what are the demographic shifts and trends that shape it?

Evening Program: Gyasi Ross, Father, Storyteller, Activist, 7:15 pm – 8:30 pm MT, 9:15 – 10:45 pm ET

Gyasi Ross is an author, speaker, lawyer and storyteller. A member of the Blackfeet nation, he believes in a life of service, listening and living within Native communities. Through the art of storytelling and poetry – part of his family heritage – he offers a window into life on a reservation, explores social justice in our country today, and works to raise the profile of Native people.
