Two generations. One future.

Two-Generation Solutions from the Aspen ThinkXChange

In October 2012, Ascend at the Aspen Institute brought together 150 dynamic leaders from cutting-edge community-based programs, policy, academia, philanthropy, business, and the media to discuss and debate opportunities, challenges, and solutions for moving children and their parents toward educational success and economic security.  This signature Aspen Institute event, the Aspen ThinkXChange, is a powerful platform for innovators — both established and emerging — from across sectors to present breakthrough ideas, share case studies, understand promising practices and policies, and highlight proven strategies to move families toward educational success and economic security.  The Aspen Institute 2012 Ascend Fellows played a leading role in session design and facilitation.

As part of Ascend’s collaboration with strategic partners to expand the conversations from the Aspen ThinkXChange to a wider audience, we are pleased to announce the publication of Making Economic Security a Family Tradition: Two-Generation Solutions from the Aspen ThinkXChange.  This publication highlights pioneering leaders and groundbreaking ideas from the Aspen ThinkXChange, and includes voices, solutions, and recommendations elevated during the convening.
