Veronica McLaughlin is Finance & Contracts Manager at Ascend at the Aspen Institute. With experience in finance, budgeting, and contracting systems, Veronica embodies Ascend’s commitment to excellence and financial stewardship.
Veronica joined Ascend in 2013 as an executive assistant, where she provided high-level administrative, logistical, and operational support to the managing director. In this role, she managed the drafting and tracking of contracts, incoming grants, invoices, and expense documentation, helping to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
Prior to joining Ascend, Veronica had over 20 years of diverse experience supporting senior executive services, government civilians, military officers, and private industry C-Suite personnel. For 14-years, she was a defense contractor at the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology and the Missile Defense Agency.
