The National Conference of States Legislatures (NCSL) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Administration for Children and Families Region 1 Office (ACF) formed a partnership in 2017 to help lead the Whole Family Approach to Jobs initiative, a partnership aimed at helping leaders in the New England states improve family well-being while also increasing economic security through employment. This brief highlights actionable steps to address benefit cliffs at the state and/or federal level.
