Erica Phillips brings a diverse set of business and education experiences as the Executive Director of the National Association for Family Child Care. The National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) is a nationwide non-profit organization dedicated to promoting high quality child care by strengthening the profession of family child care for nearly one million paid home-based early learning programs serving almost 40% of the 6.7 million children who receive care from a nonrelative on a regular basis. Prior to joining NAFCC, Erica served as President for All Our Kin, a leading social enterprise in early education, where she was responsible for strong program implementation across multiple sites, ensuring fidelity to All Our Kin’s nationally-recognized model for improving availability and quality of home-based child care, and leading All Our Kin’s expansion into new markets. Before All Our Kin, Erica founded Second Home Early Child Care Centers, which prepares children for in family child cares for life-long achievement. Previously, Erica was Senior Director at school district, where she created and led the Human Capital team. Erica was also a fellow with Education Pioneers, Pahara-Aspen and the National Black Child Development Institute. Erica began her career working as a strategy consultant at Monitor Group. Erica holds an M.B.A. and an M.Ed. from Stanford University, and a B.S. in industrial engineering from Northwestern University.
