Ms. Tarajano Rodman has over 25 years experience in organizational leadership, advocacy and policy, fiscal oversight, strategic planning, program design, development and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, supervision, positive youth development, fundraising, community engagement and organizational development. Ms. Tarajano Rodman currently serves as the Executive Director of Valley Settlement working with immigrant families in the Roaring Fork Valley to promote early childhood development, advance opportunity, and reduce barriers to accessing vital community resources for a more equitable and inclusive Valley. Led and guided by leadership from the Latinx community, this young and evolving organization is positioned for the next phase of listening and learning with and from the immigrant community. With a committed and dedicated board, staff, donors, volunteers, and partners, Valley Settlement now embarks on the critical next step of strategic planning to enter its next phase of meaningful work in the 2 GEN space.

Maria Tarajano Rodman holds an M.A. in Service Leadership and Management from the School for International Training. Maria is the recipient of the “Living the Dream” Martin Luther King Jr. visionary award. She emigrated from Cuba with her family.
