Thank You to Roxane White, First Morgridge Innovator in Residence

September 20, 2018 |

Dear Ascend Friends:

As Roxane White completes her term as the first Morgridge Family Economic Security Innovator in Residence, I would like to share a special note of appreciation for her work and partnership over the past year. Roxane’s passion and expertise have enhanced the work of Ascend and contributed greatly to the growing two-generation field.

Innovators push boundaries to achieve growth and break new ground. In her role as the inaugural Morgridge Innovator in Residence, Roxane captured and amplified seven years of Ascend’s work in state policy to inform a blueprint for policymakers at all levels. Without question, Roxane truly exemplified the spirit of the Morgridge Innovator in Residence and the shared values of the Morgridge Family Foundation and Ascend – excellence, generosity, service, and family – to name a few!

During her residency, Roxane infused new ideas into and savvy insights around two-generation solutions for families with low incomes – especially for state policymakers. A few highlights of her accomplishments include: the kick-off of the Aspen Solutions Series, important publications such as States Leading the Way: Practical Solutions that Lift Up Children and Families and New Federal Opportunities to Advance Two-Generation Approaches to Improving the Lives of Children and Parents, and technical assistance to a wide range of strategic partners. As a lifelong Aspen Ascend Fellow, we look forward to the many adventures and accomplishments still to come and welcoming her back to Aspen’s DC, Wye, and Colorado campuses.

On behalf of the entire Ascend team and community, we thank her and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.

With respect and appreciation,
